To better understand these costs, Parkinson Canada commissioned a report produced by Pricewaterhouse Coopers, “The Economic Burden of Parkinson’s in Canada” that surveyed 1,958 individuals across Canada living with Parkinson’s or are a care partner.

Parkinson Canada commissioned a survey and report to highlight the financial pressures on people with Parkinson’s, care partners and the healthcare system. We hear from our community all about the insurmountable financial challenges they face – it’s time to take their stories and raise their voices to fight for change.
We’re taking action
Parkinson Canada is advocating for better policy to support all Canadians affected by Parkinson’s, including financial support that is crucial to live well. We are meeting with policy makers across the country to propose meaningful change to financial supports to help make live better for people affected by Parkinson’s.
